How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Pop? Depends on if you go slowly or risk cracking a tooth after two.

"Pepsi sign, Brush, Colorado," May 2006
I take a lot of pictures of signs, but this one I particularly like. It immediately takes me back there -- a warm, sunny day in small-town northeast Colorado May, the soft clouds dotting a blue sky. The refreshing thought of a soda to quench my thirst. Remove the cars, put it in sepia, and it could be an ad from the 50s.

Day 97 of 365
This billboard across the street from the building -- it's for Aldo -- caught my eye one early morning as I was waiting for the elevator on my way home. I had to shoot it from afar because the office space in the foreground is vacant and locked (yet they keep the lights on 24/7, annoying the hell out of me).
It actually had been unlocked shortly after the renovation was complete (I discovered one morning when I decided to check the door), but someone realized the mistake and it's been locked the couple of times I've tried it since. I wish they hadn't caught it, because I feel like I could've had a better image if I'd had more freedom in my composition of it. But as it is, I think it's decent enough.
