What an amazing sky on this night with the moon peeking through the clouds. It made for some interesting sights.

Purple, in Theory

My original plan was to take a photo of the White Horse Tavern (which I did) to use on Dylan Thomas' birthday. But since I've already used the White Horse for this project, I went with Theory headquarters on Gansevoort St. in the Meatpacking District.

Autumn doorstop

My hope of taking an autumn-themed photo every day of October wasn't feasible, but I still looked for them every day. This one was at the Macelleria restaurant on Gansevoort St. in the Meatpacking District.

Not as lonely as it appears

I felt sorry for the big guy, until I passed him and noticed that his leash is tied to his owner's chair at the restaurant. He's just looking for sympathy.

Gansevoort St.

Cones are out on Gansevoort St. to prevent parking so "Law & Order: SVU" can film in the area tomorrow. This also, I believe, was the block on which Frank Carbone was found frozen and hanging in the refrigerated trailer in "Goodfellas."
