Food porn!

For our anniversary dinner, Casey and I went to Gramercy Tavern -- just hours after Michelle Obama had lunch there. (And some people freaked.) This was my first course, whole spelt spaghetti with sungold tomatoes, capers and basil. I remarked that it looked like a spaghetti cocoon.

Makes me want one right now

I actually took this while I was taking some shots of the new baseball-themed cookie designs, just to preserve them (the pictures of the designs, so that I could eat the cookies). Wasn't planning on an eye-level close-up of my snack, but I like the outcome.

Mmm ... discussing burgers

We went to Burger Bash at the James Beard House to sample four delicious burgers, along with tasty fries and onion rings and the ever-wonderful Victory Prima Pils. I also bought George Motz's Hamburger America and Josh Ozersky's The Hamburger: A History so I can make myself hungry while I read.
